Hurricane Helene Support

In light of the devastating impacts of Hurricane Helene, JCPSEF raised about $7,000 specifically for students in Jackson County Public Schools who experienced loss of housing, food, clothing, and other essential items in the storm. As cell service and internet were slowly restored to Jackson County, we learned about significant needs within our local schools. JCPSEF was able to support 40 students (totaling about 100 family members).

These funds were used to purchase: 1 refrigerator, 1 dehumidifier, 3 heaters, 1 washing machine, flooring to cover a bedroom, clothing to replace damaged/lost clothing or to prepare for cold weather, food to replace food lost due to extensive power outages, cleaning materials, mold mitigation cleaning supplies, and PPE, Student Support Center
